CA/CMA Final DT MAY/NOV - 25 New Batch Update | Bhanwar Borana

Hello everyone, good morning, good afternoon, and good evening to all of you. How are you all? I hope you are doing very well. Let me tell you, I am also doing great.

So guys, as you know, our new batch is coming up. This is for the May and November 2025 exams for CA, and for CMA, it's for the June and December 2025 exams. But you should be aware that your batch is to be amended by the Finance Act 2024.

Key Points to Note:

  • Finance Act 2024: Although the budget was presented in February 2024, it was an interim budget due to the upcoming elections. The main budget, which will come after the elections, is the one we need to consider.
  • Expected Amendments:
    • F&O (Futures & Options) might be classified as casual income.
    • Individual tax slab rates could be reduced from 25% and 37%.
    • Significant amendments related to the share market are also expected.
    • There are talks of introducing TDS for F&O transactions.

Budget Timeline:

  • The interim budget in February 2024 had no amendments in Income Tax and GST.
  • The main budget is expected in July 2024, likely on July 23rd, as the budget session in Parliament starts on July 22nd.

Batch Rescheduling:

  • Initially planned: July 22, 2024.
  • Revised start date: Monday, August 5, 2024.
  • Reason: To accommodate changes from the upcoming budget and ensure all amendments are incorporated into the syllabus.

Impact on the Course:

  • To avoid delays:
    • Classes will be held from Monday to Saturday (previously Monday to Friday).
    • Some lectures may be scheduled on Sundays if necessary.
    • Aim is to cover any delays and complete the syllabus on time.

Exam-Oriented Batch:

  • Regular Batch: Starts August 5, 2024.
  • Exam-Oriented Batch: Starts August 15, 2024.

What You Should Do:

  • Utilize the 10-12 days before the batch starts to complete other subjects like Audit or AFM.
  • Avoid focusing on DT and IDT until the amendments are clear.

Final Notes:

  • The amendments based on the Finance Act will be updated as soon as the budget is announced.
  • Stay relaxed, and trust that all changes will be covered thoroughly.
  • Ensure to attend all DT (Direct Tax) classes diligently as it has implications for Paper 6 as well.
  • If you miss any classes due to other commitments, make sure to watch the recorded lectures promptly.

See you on August 5, 2024! Thank you and don't worry, we've got this covered!
