Public Feedback Invited on Proposed Articled Assistant Stipend Rates Under New Training Scheme
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has cleared proposed stipend rates for articled assistants under the 2-year practical training programme. ICAI is now seeking public comments and suggestions on the draft regulatory changes until 5 August 2026.
The Institute has received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for new stipend rates applicable to articled assistants pursuing the 2-year practical training component under the New Scheme of Education & Training. The proposed changes include amendments to the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
How to Submit Your Feedback
As required under Section 30(3) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the draft notification has been published in Part III Section 4 of the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated 25 June 2026. The Institute is now inviting suggestions and objections from all stakeholders.
