About the Author

Vinod Kumar

Dr Vinod Kumar is a distinguished finance academic and practitioner with more than four decades of teaching experience at the University of Delhi and other leading management institutes. An alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce and a gold medallist from the Delhi School of Economics, he is NSE-certified in capital markets dealing, derivatives, mutual funds, and commodity markets.

Dr Kumar has held several leadership roles throughout his career, including a two-year tenure as Dean and Director of the International College of Financial Planning. He has presented award-winning research at national and international forums—earning the Chartered Accountant Journal's 'Best Paper' distinction on reported earnings—and has coordinated a UGC-funded project on commodity- and currency-market interrelationships.

A prolific trainer and speaker, he has conducted workshops for FPSB, NSE, BSE, BNP Paribas, and Bajaj Capital and serves as Founder-Editor of Investors' India magazine. He is also a PhD supervisor, an Associate of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (Shimla), and the UGC e-pathshala coordinator for Financial Markets & Institutions. Previously an Associate Professor at SGND Khalsa College, he remains in demand as visiting faculty at the Delhi School of Economics, FMS-Delhi, and other premier institutions, teaching courses such as Financial Markets & Institutions, Strategic Financial Management, Investment Management, and Managerial Finance.

Manmeet Kaur Bawa

Dr Manmeet Kaur is an esteemed Associate Professor of Finance at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O.P. Jindal Global University, where she also serves as the Director of the Centre for Advancing Research in Management and Law (CARML). She earned her PhD in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, specializing in corporate governance, financial markets and services, and corporate finance.

Since 2011, Dr Kaur has been imparting her expertise in these subjects at various institutions within the University of Delhi and other renowned management institutes. She has an extensive publication record, with articles featured in numerous international and national journals focusing on governance and banking. Her research contributions have been recognized through presentations at prestigious conferences organized by institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS).

In addition to her research and teaching, Dr Kaur has authored two books on Financial Markets, Institutions, and Services. She is a sought-after resource for faculty development programs, contributing her knowledge to interdisciplinary faculty training sessions organized by the University of Delhi and other prominent institutions.

Atul Gupta

Atul Gupta is an Assistant Professor of finance and corporate law in the commerce dept. in Hindu College, the University of Delhi for the last ten years. He has been ex-Deputy Manager in Axis Bank for four years before joining Hindu College. He has vast practical experience in banking and insurance operations and academic experience of 13 years of teaching papers like financial management, corporate law, banking and financial institutions and insurance Management. He has a good number of international and national research papers to his credit. He is NSDL Depository participant diploma certified, AMFI certified for mutual fund, and JAIIB certified in banking operations.
