At this stage, many students make the mistake of studying randomly, starting new topics, watching too many lectures, or comparing their preparation with others. But remember — the final phase is not about studying everything from scratch. It is about REVISION, PRACTICE and EXAM EXECUTION. In this video, I have discussed 5 important points that every CA Foundation student should remember before appearing for the September 2026 examinations. Don't Start New Things at the Last Moment If you have already covered your syllabus, don't panic and start completely new resources or topics just because someone else is studying them. Focus on strengthening what you have already studied. Your priority should be: • Revision • Concept clarity • Question practice • Important and repeatedly tested topics • Improving your weak areas The goal now should be to make your existing preparation stronger rather than constantly adding new material. REVISION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WATCHING MORE LECTURES At this stage, simply watching more and more lectures may give you the feeling that you are studying, but actual marks come from retention, recall and application. Can I reproduce the answer properly in the examination? Active revision is the key during the final phase. Make sure you are solving relevant RTPs, MTPs and previous examination questions and analysing your mistakes. While solving questions, don't just check whether your answer is correct. This analysis can significantly improve your final performance. HAVE A PROPER EXAM-DAY STRATEGY Knowing the syllabus is one thing. Knowing how to attempt the paper is another. Before your examination, have a clear strategy regarding: • Time management • Question selection • Reading the question paper • Revision time • Attempting questions you are confident about • Avoiding unnecessary time consumption on one question Your preparation should ultimately convert into marks on the answer sheet.
