Concepts तब तक रहते हैं, जब आप उनका background समझते हैं। Concepts stay when you understand the background.” So what’s the change here? The change is in Ind AS 12— related to the Pillar Two Model Rules by OECD. Now you might say— “Sir, we’ve never even heard of this.” That’s okay. I’ll explain it briefly. If you want more depth, you can always search it later. But even without deep research, you can still understand the amendment. Still, if you know the background— it becomes easier to understand and express in exams. First, what is OECD? It stands for: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development It’s an organisation formed by countries to promote economic cooperation and development globally. Now what are these Pillar Two rules? Let’s understand with a simple example. Assume you are a large multinational company (MNC) with turnover exceeding €750 million. These rules apply to such companies. Now suppose you choose to operate in a country where the tax rate is very low—say 10%. Because of this lower tax, you gain a competitive advantage over others. Other companies operating in higher-tax countries cannot compete effectively with you. So to maintain fair competition, OECD introduced a rule: 👉 You must pay a minimum 15% tax, no matter where you operate. That’s it. This is called the Pillar Two Model Rule. #CAFinal #IndAS12 #PillarTwo #OECD #AccountingConcepts #ConceptClarity #CAStudents #CAAspirants #CAIndia #FinancialReporting #LearnConcepts #StudySmart #CommerceStudents #ThinkConcepts #LearnDeeply #ExamPreparation #AccountingClasses #ProfessionalLearning #SAGC
